PPS Trainee Awards
Application Deadline Was:  January 12, 2009

The
PPS Awards Committee presents up to five awards of $100 each for the best pulmonary pathology presentations submitted by trainees at the annual USCAP meeting.  The trainee is defined as a medical student, resident, or fellow in Pathology. In addition, other applicants such as graduate students (MS, PhD, veterinary, etc.) and post-docs (without a faculty appointment) may also qualify for consideration.  Presentations at the USCAP meeting may be in platform or poster format and are evaluated on the basis of scientific validity, originality, academic and clinical importance, and quality of presentation. 

Criteria:

1 Trainee applicant must be a PPS member (If not a current member, please apply for PPS Membership no later than January 12, 2009)
2 The trainee applicant must be listed as the first author.
3 Trainee applicant must submit extended abstract describing the applicant's work.  This description should not exceed 750 words nor include more than one table.
4 Applicants will also be responsible for providing the PPS administrative office the scheduled date/time of their presentation

This award is not related to other awards presented during the USCAP Annual Meeting.  Qualified applicants may apply for this award in addition to any other USCAP awards.

NOTE: The deadline to submit abstracts to the USCAP 2009 Annual Meeting was September 15, 2008.
